Building Dreams Together: Hanmi and World Vision Taiwan Launch the 2025 Midseason Tournament

With the guidance of professional coaches and social workers, World Vision Taiwan’s Vision Basketball League Project aims to nurture the character of vulnerable youth through sports. The project has established 16 basketball teams across Taiwan, empowering over 300 teenagers. Each participant receives training and equipment. Since 2023, three teams—Wildshark, Siliq, and Panther—have been formed in the northern region, with the Fighting Tiger team added this year. This expansion provides financially disadvantaged teenagers with greater opportunities to connect, grow, and develop essential life skills through basketball.
台灣世界展望會「籃海計畫」攜手專業教練和社工團隊，以運動鍛造孩子品格，成立全台16支籃球隊，惠及超過300名弱勢青少年，提供籃球訓練、球具、球鞋及專屬球衣。自2023年以來，北部成立碧海狂鯊、希利克戰士及黑豹戰神三隊，今年再新增先鋒戰虎隊，為熱愛籃球但資源有限的孩子創造交流與成長機會。


Taoyuan-based Hanmi Semiconductor recently donated NT$300,000 to support the northern region’s midseason tournament, showcasing its dedication to corporate social responsibility. “We hope more teenagers will join the league, and that society will recognize their potential and needs,” said YJ. 桃園在地企業韓美半導體近日捐助30萬元支持北區期中賽，以實踐企業社會責任並鼓勵青少年追求夢想。
台灣地區董事長吳榮朱表示：「希望更多孩子參與比賽，讓社會看見弱勢青少年的潛力與需求。」

籃球場上鍛造品格 青少年突破自我 Building Character On and Off the Court
En, a player for the Siliq in Taoyuan, shared: “I treasure every chance to step on the court. Since joining the Vision Basketball League, I’ve grown from being just another school team player to becoming a key player. I’ve seen my skills improve and felt proud of my progress—it’s a life-changing experience.” Despite financial challenges, En uses his weekends and free time to sharpen his skills. For him, the project is more than basketball—it’s about learning perseverance and determination.
來自桃園的「希利克戰士」隊小球員小恩表示：「我珍惜每次上場的機會，加入籃海計畫讓我從校隊一員成長為主力球員。透過比賽與練習，我體會到突破自我的成就感，並感恩這個改變人生的機會。」儘管家境清寒，小恩仍利用課餘精進球技，展現毅力與決心。對他來說，籃海不僅是提升球技，更是品格養成的舞台。


The northern region’s midseason tournament in February 2025 will give En and his teammates a chance to showcase their hard work. Hanmi Semiconductor, the tournament sponsor, has been committed to innovation and sustainability since opening its Taoyuan office in 2015. “Supporting teenagers as they pursue their dreams and grow through basketball is part of our responsibility,” said YJ. 預計於2025年2月舉行的北區期中賽，是小恩與隊友們展示訓練成果的重要時刻。韓美半導體自2015年在桃園設立辦公室以來，持續專注產業發展，同時投身公益，致力於永續經營。吳榮朱表示：「支持孩子追夢並透過籃球學習成長，是我們的責任。」
