In some tribes in Taiwan parents cannot prepare meals for their children because they must earn money for their family. Without balanced nutrition, their physical development is at risk.
World Vision Taiwan, in association with schools, churches and community centers helps deliver meals to children who go without dinner or lunch. This nourishment provides children with enough energy to learn every day.

Cows are crucial to survival because they are considered property, food, a source of income and a member of the family.

Aymaya Area Development in Bolivia is located at an altitude of 2,000-3,800 meters above see-level. The families there are in deep poverty and cannot afford nutritious food for their children. As a result, 46.8 percent of the children are malnourished. Alpacas, South American mammals with long fine wooly hair, are easily raised. They provide an abundant source of milk containing many ingredients that can improve children’s health. The alpacas’ wooly hair and meat can also be sold to increase family income.
